I am pleased to report that we received some very strong applications for the role of Outreach Officer and after much consideration, we have appointed Kirsteen Thorne.
Kirsteen has previously worked as a journalist, presenter and radio producer for BBC Radio Norfolk and the regional BBC Look East programme.

Initially Kirsteen will be focused on raising the profile of the threat of Asian Hornet and implementing our outreach plan to engage with a wide variety of target audiences and organisations. She will also help identify and develop the resources needed by the BBKA’s associations to support their local awareness campaigns.
The first Asian Hornet committee meeting of the year was held last night and plenty of actions points were agreed. Luke Whyatt, who is a newly elected Trustee, is chairing the committee and if you want to contact Luke his email is luke.whyatt@bbka.org.uk
Finally, another reminder of the BBKA Asian Hornet Conference which is an on-line event Saturday 17th February. We shall shortly be able to confirm the speakers’ line up and timings.
